Bigelow Construction was founded by Sam Bigelow in the Bloordale neighbourhood of Old Toronto in 2011 with the goal of working with the members of the community he grew up in to help them grow in the homes they loved. Recognizing that the charm of the west end neighbourhoods of his native Toronto were pulling more and more young families into the City, Sam wanted to help these young families stay in these neighbourhoods and these homes as they grew.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and Political Studies from Queen’s University, Sam immersed himself in the world of construction, starting as a laborer and swiftly advancing to roles as a site superintendent and lead hand on various commercial and institutional projects. This hands-on experience, coupled with a formal education as a Building Renovation Technologist from George Brown College, honed Sam's skills and shaped our company's ethos.
With over a decade of experience, we've developed an in depth understanding of the unique challenges of residential renovations in Old Toronto. Our innovative site management strategies, careful project planning and advanced communication techniques ensure that your project is a success from start to finish.
