Job Description: Bigelow Construction is seeking an experienced Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers
  • Ensure that work is completed according to project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to keep them informed of project progress
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
  • Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material orders
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Job Description: Bigelow Construction is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with a meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to accurately assess project costs. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, ensuring that they are both competitive and profitable.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials, labor, and equipment, based on project requirements
  • Prepare and submit detailed proposals, including cost breakdowns and schedules, to clients
  • Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and quality
  • Track and analyze project costs throughout the construction process, identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Provide support to project teams, including assisting with budgeting and value engineering efforts
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, trends, and market conditions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
